International Women's Day, is on March 8th annually. This is a globally recognized by celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
The day has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911.
This day is not limited to a specific country, group or organization - it belongs to everyone everywhere.
Doing my part
This year I participated for the first time. Thanks to Paula Fellingham, the Founder of the Women's Information Network, a "Global community of women helping women live our best lives though celebration, self-improvement and service."
This year Paula and the WIN held their inaugural virtual Internal Women's Day of which I am proud to say I was a part of. I was chosen to be one of the international speakers. What an amazing experience that was.
I am also a WIN Thought Leader which contributes ideas to building WIN and offers services that are free for WIN members.
So excited to be a part of futures WIn events and next years International Women's Day with the WIN team.
